Oscar Walcker's Opus 2576, an instrument which was built in 1937 in the studio of the painter and sculptor Hugo Körtzinger in Schnega (Wendland). Initially comprising only 6 ranks of pipes, the unit organ grew to an impressive 37 ranks and 63 stops by 1947! The history of the instrument's development is documented in an interesting correspondence of around 100 letters between the owner and company director Dr phil. h.c. Oscar Walcker.
The instrument was restored by Christian Scheffler from Sieversdorf (2015-16).

The organ in Oosthuizen is one of the oldest organs existing. We do not know who built it. The pipes are a collection of stops from several older instruments. The 4' Prinzipal stop could could date back as far as the early 15th century. There was an organ when the church was finished in 1521 but nothing proves that it was the existing one. The compass of the keyboard F-a2 is clearly that of the late 15th and early 16th century. The case shows details of the Late Gothic era. In the years 2002/03 the organ was restored. It was then discovered that Pieter Backer (c. 1670) had a hand in the building of the organ. The specification as we have it now could be from that time. The tuning is meantone at a=465 Hz. Compass of the keyboard F, G, A-a2.
